Malcolm Fraser came into office as Australia’s 22nd prime minister in November 1975, following the dismissal of the Whitlam government by then Governor General, Sir John Kerr.

Fraser went on to win three elections and served as prime minister until 1983. After losing office, he had a significant career in international relations and was founding chairman of CARE Australia.

This guide to the archives of Malcolm and Tamie Fraser lists records held in the National Archives of Australia and the University of Melbourne Archives, as well as other institutions.
